If the vehicle you are following is exceeding the 40mph speed limit, this won't stop you from crashing as well.

On the wrong road to Solva

.  .  then over steer and below, car 1
crashes through bollards and scrapes
the corner fence post. A hit and run job by
car 1, but the number plate is left behind.

Car 2 (pictures on the right) had no chance
of escaping, coming to a final rest on another
road.

Remember the speed limit is  
   

Stones fly, fence posts fall and manhole covers
get removed with the force of the impact.

April 2011  - 1 vehicle (right off)  0 fatalities

Doing more than 42mph - you won't make the bend:

First you under steer, then over compensate by over steering, cross the road
 hitting anything in your path and before you know it, your car is parked up as a right off.
